What we collect, and why

When you send an enquiry we collect what you put in the form — your name, phone number, email, postcode and what you need doing — so we can answer you and price the job (our legitimate interest in responding, and steps taken at your request before a contract). If you become a customer, we keep quote, booking and invoice records to do the work and because tax law requires it (legal obligation — invoices are kept for six years).

That's it. No marketing lists, and we don't buy, sell or swap data with anyone.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies for visitors and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. (The only cookie in the whole system belongs to our own staff sign-in area, which isn't for visitors.)

Where your data lives

Enquiries and business records are stored in our booking system, hosted with Cloudflare, with nightly encrypted-in-transit backups. Email runs on Namecheap Private Email. If you pay by card, the payment is handled entirely by Stripe — your card details go to Stripe, never to us. Our accounting records may sync to QuickBooks (Intuit). Each of these providers processes data on our behalf under their own security and data-processing terms.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't become jobs are cleared out periodically. Customer and invoice records are kept for six years after the tax year they relate to, because HMRC says so, then deleted.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, have mistakes corrected, ask us to delete it (where the law doesn't require us to keep it), and object to or restrict how we use it. Email hello@northumbriapowerwashing.co.uk and we'll respond within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
